A new chapter
in the history of professional bass fishing unfolded on May 5th
as women anglers from all corners of the United States converge on Moor’s
Resort and Marina in Paducah, Kentucky to form the Lady Bass Anglers
Association.
The ink has
dried on the first chapter and we are hard at work building the next
chapter. The Lady Bass Anglers Association Board of Directors met and worked
diligently to set up the tournament rules and details related to the work
and development of a successful tournament trail for women. The Lady Bass
Anglers Association tournament trail will be a 2 + 1 format at each regular
season location. The first two days will be a full field of professional and
co-anglers vying for cash prizes in each division. On the third day the
ladies will host a charity team bass tournament benefiting a local charity.
Open to anyone with one stipulation. There must be at least one female in
each boat. This supports the charity and promotes women and girls in
fishing. There will be raffles associated with each event of items donated
by local and national sponsors. These raffle monies will further assist the
charity as well as provided added recognition for the sponsors.
